Casimir Lesak, one of the few surviving members of the royal family, has led a quiet, unassuming life in a village not on any map. Providing for his two younger siblings who survived the massacre of their family with him, his world is turned upside down when his older brother–thought to be dead–shows up in the village begging for his assistance to find those responsible for their family’s murder. What follows is a journey that Casimir never saw coming.

Merritt, Grace, and Victor are part of the Last Hope's Middle Generation--that is, the generation never meant to see their ship's final destination--discover the truth about the mission they were born into: their ship has spent decades circling around a dying star, and not heading towards the promised heaven-like planet. When the secret is out and a rebellion is plotted, the three must decide how far they are willing to go to change their fates.
